Three decisions, each of which is saying something.

Most portrait finishes darken the edges. This one does the opposite: the vignette is cut to 6% and replaced with a 10% brightening at the centre, so light appears to arrive on the subject rather than drain away from the frame. A vignette is a melancholy device. Removing it is the single change that makes the picture read as optimistic, and it is measurable — the same forehead patch moves from L* 72 to L* 79.

The photograph is reduced to exactly two colours and a threshold pattern. Nothing is smoothed or beautified; a continuous, ambiguous image is turned into something discrete and legible. That is the same move Muro makes on a set of drawings, and it is why this is a dither rather than a filter — it is honest about having been processed, which is the point.

The border carries no wordmark and no logo. It is --green-ink
walked 40% toward --ink, dark enough to mount the picture instead
of announcing over it. Muro sits around the work rather than on top of it, and
the portrait is built the same way: the brand is the boundary, you are the
content.

Roughly 15% of the frame above your crown. Without it the crop cannot reach the house geometry.
A window at 45° is enough. The dither has two tones and nothing else, so modelling in the face is all that separates your features from the background.
The room you are in is kept, deliberately — depth is what makes the frame look photographed rather than assembled.
Chroma is discarded before the dither, so colour does not matter. Lightness does: a top close to your skin tone will merge with your face.
